Do not worship any other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God." Exodus 34:14

Observation: Moses makes two new stone tablets. Don’t accept other gods. There is only one true God. God is jealous for our worship; he is not jealous of us. That would be weird to be jealous of his creation. He has a jealous love for us. He wants our fully devoted attention. He hates it when we put other silly unimportant things in front of him. He calls himself “Jealous”, therefore, this is a very serious topic to him.

Application: We need to realize how much God loves us and wants our attention. This is not a bad thing. Don’t you want the attention of those you love?

Prayer: Spend time in prayer asking God to help you get rid of distractions so you can love and worship him with everything that you have.
