Come, let us bow down in worship, Observation: Bowing and kneeling are a physical way to show reverence and worship to God. Worship is not just from the lips. No author name is given, but it’s assumed that King David wrote this psalm. The psalm says that God is God and King overall; he is more than worthy of our meager worship. He is Maker and Creator. We, the creation, should worship the Creator. When we bow down and worship, it may help eliminate distractions and help us not to harden our hearts as we listen to his wisdom and plans. Application: When you worship, have you ever bowed down or kneeled? Maybe you haven’t during corporate worship, but what about when you’re on your own? Do you realize how amazing and mighty he is? When we stop and reflect on his mightiness, we have a reason to worship with our whole-self. We need to realize how great he is and how low we are in comparison. Prayer: Ask God to help you be bold in bowing or kneeling in your individual worship time. Come before him in true reverence today! Click here to view all resources for the Worship SOAP Bible Study.
